birthday in recap

A year ago today, we were in the hospital, being informed that our beautiful baby might have serious respiratory and heart problems.  Today, we are rejoicing at her vitality.

There were presents.  Oh, were there presents!

And there was cake.  Peanut butter chocolate triple layer cake.  Methinks Astrid liked it.

After cake, people were commenting about how mellow she was.  We assure you, dear reader, her sugar rush kicked in with a fury.  Baby chasing ensued.
