Today's walk wasn't quite as scenic as the walk we had over the weekend.  We went to Cliff Caves.
Whitney?  Are you out there?  Here's your little shark.  She's used this towel for 80% of her baths since birth but finally her head fits into the sharkface properly.

Astrid loves her ella-fonts!  Auntie Jen is talented.

Hey, isn't this the onezie some weirdo put on a cat?

bunny bunny bunny! & the Most Premium Baby

Bevo.  Our 'hood.  Little Bosnia.  We've decided to change the name of our blog from BBE to MPB.  This shift >>  Best Baby Ever becomes Most Premium Baby.

I think Astrid is cutting a tooth & she was a lil out of sorts.  So we got out for a walk today to get her mind off of her ails.  It was beautiful, she was beautiful (and people driving by even stopped to tell me so).   *big gummy grin*

Anyone who knows me well knows my love of bunnies.  Today joyfully revealed three baby bunnies and Billy, The Great Rabbit Matriarch of 63116, frolicking around our front yard.  Astrid got a good gander - I'm hopeful she, too, will have the bunny love.

Ostensibly, this is how today's post ends...

still melts me every single time

could spring be here to stay?

Don't have much to say...instead I'll provide you with lots of baby eye candy.

Saturday, we went to the botanical gardens.

We ran into Grandma and Grandpa B and had an impromptu visit.

Sunday was a mellow yard work and errand running kind of day.  Astrid wanted to help.

This is the I'm trying something new face as Grandma Bev helps Astrid eat a Baby MumMum:

cats in onezies, Stanley, holding hands with a parrot

Astrid is sleeping off a big day out at the Mud House while I take a moment to document our week to date.  Today, we met Abbey for coffee and ran into Katie, the magnificent woman who accidentally-on-purpose delivered her.  Notice the completely innocuous Maggie spooning Astrid.  Completely innocuous.  Really.

Astrid is a great companion.  Her curiosity is overwhelming.  She notices everything and everyone.  She makes people smile.  Mostly due to her amazing chipmunk cheeks, her wonderful chunky thighs (today with legwarmers) and those sweet noises she makes.  Plus, she noms on giraffes (thank you Aunt Debbie) and you can see below, that makes for an awfully cute photo.
Yesterday was also a girls' day out.  Grandma Bev took her girls shopping.  Picking out outfits is such a great joy!  We had lunch, hit Old Navy and here we are at Spicer's.  We even went to this very outdated place...how you say...bookstore?, for coffee (which was actually tea).  Astrid learned the joy of those big green Starbuck's straws.  Doesn't Astrid look awfully peaceful here with Stanley, her recently purchased (thank you Grandma Bev) frog?

Ok who can believe it has been 6 months since Astrid's birth?  It is so hard for me to believe.  Before I tell you all the amazing things Astrid has learned to do - look at this:
Yep, that is the elusive Jasmine wearing an I *heart* Grandpa onezie (thank you Grandma Judy).  Some people do not believe this kitty exists.  Who says I didn't just google image "Cat in onezie" and paste it here?  Oh wait, now I have google imaged "cat in onezie".  Don't do that.

And now for the What-Astrid-is-up-to montage:

She can grab this parrot.  That means she is a whole lot taller than she was just about six weeks ago when we had to boost her with yoga blocks just to reach the floor.

Jumping jumping for joy.
Rolling around, being awesome.
Rolling can be a form of transportation.  Rolling gets you sparkly stuff.

Next up...a birthday post. Tomorrow she is six months!

this falafel is bananas

A gorgeous day in St. Louis.  Here we are in the West End today for a coffee and a stroll.

Astrid seemed to love it.  She stayed awake, absorbing every detail of her surroundings and clearly I do not need to state (but will) was ogled by passersby.

This morning, Stephen thought it would be hilarious to give Astrid an extra (and may I mention, outer) diaper "just in case".  This should  tell you  something about the way things have been going around here lately.

Foggetabouttit

Here we are at Cafe Natasha.  I enjoyed a Turkish coffee and falafel.  Steevie had their tandoori chicken kabob.  It was soooo delicious.  Too bad we had to slurp it up fast fast fast.
